Partech ColTech Color Sensor

Organic materials such as Humic Acid or metals like Iron and Manganese dissolved in water will appear as an unacceptable yellow tinge. If discoloured water is allowed to enter the water supply network customers will quickly become aware of the problem.

The sensor requires very little maintenance, with no special tools or training required. Calibration can be carried out against either a wet standard or using a reference standard.

RELIABLE MONITORING

• The ColTech Color Sensor can tolerate turbidity levels of up to 100NTU and has a maximum depth of 100 meters.
• The beam from the UV/Blue LED light source is passed through a sample of water contained in the measurement cell and the amount of light absorption at 375 nm is measured. The absorption is equated to Hazen units by comparison to a standard solution during calibration, or by reference to a laboratory test method.

LOW COST OF OWNERSHIP

• The ColTech Color Sensor is low maintenance and doesn’t require special tools or training to use.

• The flow cell type sensor includes an integral wiper cleaning system that requires replacement annually.
